Making your own tools

Hi folks,

Can anyone recommend a source of cost-effective HSS bar stock in Melbourne?

There was a NSW crowd at the WWW show with bars and rods, and also unhandled tools - wondered if we have someone similar.

I' not to familiar with Melbourne, but would expect that you could track down HSS via contacting any Precision Engineering workshop and asking if they know a supplier or try "fitting and Machining" in the yellow pages.
