hi all, is there a good place to buy blackwood in Adelaide? Would I be better off going to Melbourne? (I'm 1/2way between) Only want maybe 1/4 of a cube  enough for a buffet.
Cheers

Australian Furniture Timbers at www.afttimbers.com (http://www.whitepages.com.au/wp/listingLink.do?url=www.afttimbers.com&logData=) will help.
Beware of vendors supplementing an order with Silver Wattle. DAMHIKT!

Hi Redgy,
You could try Estate Timber, College Street Port Adelaide (82410500). I believe they stock rough sawn blackwood.
I spoke to them a couple of years ago and they seemed very friendly and helpful and their prices at the time we reasonable.

Ottos off Magill Road had some Tassie Blackwood guitar neck blanks last time I was there. A bit overpriced at $50 - $60 each and the service there is a bit quirky.
