hi woody,
no i havent used one or thought of using one, but while i was looking at the site i thought that it would be a good idea to use as a mortiser. all you would need to add is a fence to support the stock!
let us know how you get on with it.

Woody there are simplier jigs that can be used and easier to produce with a little knowledge of the template guides:o
