As export-representative of a German supplier
specialized in woodturning (Hempel) lathes I would like to advertise in Australian woodturning magazines, but unfortunately I do not know any.
I would be very happy to receive some names of reputed magazines in that field.

A good start would be the australian wood review:

g'day Claudia - Had you gone to our links page you would have found The Australian Woodworker http://www.skillspublish.com.au/ as well as the Australian Wood Review (url supplied by Eastie)

These are the only 2 Australian Woodworking magazines that are readily available to everyone.

For Australia readers you may do just as well advertising in the English magazines Woodturning and Practical Wood Working, there are as many of them sold here as the Aussie mags.

What kind of machine is the lathe? Is it for amateurs, professionals or both? Is it a dinky toy or a serious professionals lathe? If it is for serious professionals then you are probably wasting your time with any of these mags, and maydo better looking for trade magazined.

What about a picture or link to their web site.

Do you know Australia is the home of the best woodturning finishes in the world and some pretty good lathes to boot?

Dear Neil,
thanks for your message. The Hempel lathes I wish to offer have been developed for serial industrial production. Most of those we have in stock are automatic and semi automatic copying and variety lathes, plate, bowl, disc turning lathes and ring, wheel turning lathes.
We have some Geiger manual turning lathes that could be interesting for hobbyists. It will not make sense, however to advertise them in Australia since you have Vicmarc manual lathes-which are also well-introduced in the German market.
I conclude from your message that in your country professional woodturners will not search for their equipments in woodturning magazines.Do you know any trading magazines?
Unfortunately the machinery is not(yet)listed on a website.
with best wishes,
Claudia
