Another part of the learning curve main timber is Jaccaranda and the top knob a piece of unknown local hardwood
Still pleny to learn but the practice is enjoying

I did a similar one a while back (Not as nice though and without the contrasting knob on top) out of Sheoak but my kids reckoned that it looked like a UFO:mad: So I made it into two bowls. The little buggers are still telling me it should have flown.

Good job Sam. That Jacaranda can be awful stuff for tearout so your 'practice' piece worked well.:D
