Turned up a grinder today, will be another one coming to make up a pair.

I am quite stoked as to how the B/W turned out, as Skew is always saying about B/W, it has some beautiful Chatoyance

Blackwood comes from my local area, got it from a local farmer that I know. He hates seeing timber going to waste and has been stockpiling it for years and told me to come and get some as he is selling up to move up north to be with his kids.

Well I finish the other half of this pair today.

Got a pretty good match, just need to do a bit better on the top ball section, need some more care and practice on this bit otherwise the rest is bloody good IMHO

I'll second that - a real fine piece of work. Real nice wood too.

Well done DJ, they look great.

Which one is salt and which one is pepper?

I have stamped a letter on top for each one. The pepper is on the right which is a bit darker in color so you can tell from the color too
