View Full Version : Beech / Maple / Quality Hardwood suppliers in Victoria

Hi,
I was after some help locating some beech and/or maple hardwoods around Melbourne for hand tool construction. I've tried a ring around my local (and not so local) timber merchants without much luck. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Hi - I know of this guy Kell he is from Queensland but lives in Philip Island now.

He claims to have the following timbers:

silky oak
queensland maple
nsw roisel
rose alder
silver ash
silver wattle
red gum
red almond pink
banksia
black pine
blackwood

He sells 320 mm x 320 mm x 25 == $6 super foot

Never seen the stuff, but he maybe of some help.
