Those models aren't a bad drill for there value, I had one almost identical to that one and it had been used in my previous business drilling steel all day long, it only recently gave up the ghost due to motor burning out, had it for about 15yrs. They can be a bit noisy due to tolerances when made.

Really comes down to what you are willing to spend. The $200-500 range will get you a working drill with a bit off slop in them. Get up to and over $1000 will get you a pretty decent one which will be smoother and quieter with better tolerances.

Put a link here (http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&viewitem=&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fsearch.ebay.com.au%3A80%2Fsearch%2Fsearch.dll%3Ffrom%3DR40%26satitle%3D250110006342%26fvi%3D1&item=250110006342&rd=1) for you, to the drill you're talking about for everyone else to see.
