Just loctite the inserts to the appropriate headstock threads and don't bother with the grub screws in the chuck? :innocent:

(Dunno about Vicmarcs but I know this works with Teknatool's chucks. :D)

Hi Sam,

I have one of the bigger Jet lathes (1442) and it has a 1" x 8tpi spindle thread and came with an adapter to make it a 33 x 3.5, so I know that they are made. Try at your local Jet dealer, they might be able to point you in the right direction.

Hope this helps,

Richard

Andrew they can be made to any size, in your case 1"x10 female to 30x3.5mm male, cost is $50.00
