One of my favourite woods is Osage Orange. (Australian).
Here is my first attempt at a candle holder which
I am reliably informed is a little large and could with
refinements in design. But ... it was my first
attempt some months ago and the wood was still
green. A subsequent crack can be seen if you
look at it closely.
But I don't have the heart to throw it in the fire nor
patch it up with glue and sawdust. Instead I will
keep it as a reminder of my "early beginnings".
