Greetings All,
Heading up to Echuca for a week and wondering if there are any woodwork related places of interest not to be missed. (Any non-woody related attractions also of interest). Traveling with young family.

I had a bit of a look around on the net, couldn't find anything woody such as clubs etc. If they're there they're hiding.

There's a place that makes barrels n sells them
then there is all the wooden vessels on the river Wild Dingo would love it steam n paddlewheerls.
The there is all that dead wood laying round the lake short drive away.

The wharf area is good. All types of attractions as well as a place with some huge redgum burls. The paddlesteamers operate from there too.
There is also a redgum furniture place in the street behind. (Just make sure the wallet is well stocked).
Kyabram fauna park is about 30 k's away.
Moama bowling club (NSW side of river) is a good place to eat.

The Murray still has some water in it as they have closed off the weir at Torrumbarry. Downstream from this is apparently pretty low.

There is the Barmah (redgum) forest. Have a look now; because the way it is going nearly all access to the forest areas will be severely curtailed. No cars, fishing, camping, fires, wood collecting, cows, horses, dogs etc. Rumoured to have to have a daily permit to enter. A very sore point with the locals.

Just do not mention you are from Melbourne, or anything about pipelines.
