Well, after about six months of consideration, a few videos and seeing the stuff in action at the Melbourne wood show I have finally made a decision to purchase the incra LS 17 Super sytem from Professional Woodworkers Supplies.

Not cheap when you buy the whole system ie "Incra top" Incra legs, Lifter and the incra recommended router bit set.

But I am convinced this is a seriously well thought through system that offers remarkable levels of precision and control.

Yes I did look at the leigh D4R Dovetail system - also superb but ultimately felt the Incra solution was much more versatile for general routing and safer (for me). I prefer a table mounted router and the SS kit provides good dust extraction.

Will post my experience when I collect later in November:2tsup:

I think you will be very happy with your choice, it took me a long time to convince myself that spending that much money on a router fence/jig was warranted.

I have now had mine since earlier this year and can only say that it was money well spent. I only bought the LS17 Super System, not the other bits such as lifter and table top, but did get the phenolic router plate. I also bought my router bits elsewhere when they were on special (30% off).

I am currently making a heap of drawers, dovetailed of course, for a new CD cabinet. The fit I am getting, after some initial fiddling about, is nothing short of superb!:2tsup:

The piece de resistance is the Wonderfnce, best router fence in creation!

I built my own router table, you can see it here (http://www.woodworkforums.ubeaut.com.au/showthread.php?t=47602&highlight=incra+table).

I hope you'll get as much enjoyment out of using this as I have.
