Pens are spaltet Beech 1200 grit sand. Myland high friction polish

Bowls : the left is alsow beech with spalting, given oil but not quite shure what it is (the big can at our turning club) the other is in Latin: Tilia cordata i think " Common lime "

Rattle is Maple - not that easy to get hold of in Denmark. but very nice to work with.

Thanks. i know the shape of the pens are a little strange but that was the way SWIMBO wnated them so..

Im embarking on making only round stuff for christmas presents this year so i have a lot of turning to do this comming month.

Ok bernie here goes....

Present for my very dear big brothers 50´ birthday. the set is not complete i dident have time to get the paperknife done but i will post the complte set when done. but dont tell him it´s not until next weekend

wood is Elm burl. sanded to 1200 and given 2 coats of Myland friction polish

I have completed the set ! and have to show them off.... these are 3-4-5 in my penturning. And as swimbo said... "you sound and look like a kid of 5 showing a crooked ashtray to his mother" but i am very satisfied with the result....

The Pics are horrible i know, taken in the gray daylight had to use a flas to get any light .. and my camera sucks but i would rather spend mony buying turning tools than new camera.
