They were mentioned in an issue of The Aus Woodworker so I thought I'd have a look. Made in china with A2 HSS and American Walnut handles, designed for Aussie hardwoods.

I'm thinking of getting an oval skew, bowl and spindle gouge and something called a "Round nose Round bottom chisel" - http://www.northwoodtools.com.au/product.asp?pID=1125

So what do you guys think, Are they worth it?

Scooter picked one up at the show. You out there Sean?

And I heard good things about them from Mik who don't exactly deal with the cheap and cheerful.

I've got some, 25mm roughing gouge/25mm skew/25mm round nose scraper, they seem ok but dont hold an edge as long as my woodcut gouges... but all 3 together cost less than 1 woodcut!

Yeah, Ern (:D ), I bought a 5/8" *I think) bowl gouge, seems gooder to me. Doesn't hold an edge as long as my superflute but a damn sight cheaper ... :)
