Another warm up! (No I'm not going to produce one a day) I just went down to the beach this evening, and at Mooloolaba it's floodlit, and I got there just as drinks were being taken in the day-nighter.

Cheers,

P

These Photos don't seem like much to most people, but this is the first Australia Day in 5 years that they have been running. That's pretty special for a lot of people here.

The first is Queen Mary Falls, near Killarney QLD, and the second is Dagg Falls, which is a couple of km's down stream

G'day,

Here are some shots of what it means for me as an :aussie5:

• having a gum tree in the backyard

• a Hills hoist in the backyard

• a Victa lawn mower, so long as it goes then :2tsup: (goes 1st go everytime)

• a shed in the backyard

with all the above on a 1/4 acre block with room for kids to smack a cricket ball; and lastly

• somewhere to prop up your vitamins after a hard days yakka. :U

Can't have Australia Day without the floral emblem, Golden Wattle, Acacia Pycnantha.

Hi there,
Hope everyone is enjoying their Australia Day! I took the kids along to the local pioneer village, which put on an open day. Lots of huts, sheds and other outbuildings relocated and jammed full of assorted historic junk; farm animals; blacksmiths; stationary engines and windmills. A fair assortment of woodworking tools, but not much in good nick, although some has been used...like a froe and beetle to split shingles. Some really great stuff in my book!:2tsup:
So here is my Australia Day photo, the inside of a shed chock full of old mowers, inc. the odd Victa!:D

Cheers,

We had a ripper!

Helping one of our kids (and her husband move house). Here's one of their mates, Greg, having our favourite house-moving lunch!

Cheers,

Good one Midge, the only thing I got a pic of today was my new toy....

I got a Husky 385xp demo model for $1300 & went out & murdered a Coconut tree that was pushing the back fence over & dropping nuts on the roof of the shed in Cairns. :2tsup:

Nice pics Gra, I esp like the Holden and the prefect.

As for me, I dressed some timber in the shed for a couple of hours before giving into the heat and moving out to work to use the aircond workshops to grind bevels on plane blades.

(We're 15 hours late, y'know.) Open house at King Arthur's Tools ( http://www.katools.com ). Munchies, didgeridoo jam session, demo carving of same, woodworking gallery, etc. "King" Arthur Aveling is a transplated Ozzie; there's an Aveling safety establishment in Oz, but I don't know what if any connection. No affiliation, etc.
