Made this and some other stuff in my easter holiday... Did complete cleanup of my woodstorage and workshop..

Specs: Elm 18,5 Cm diameter height 5,5 cm bottom diam 16 cm. wall thikness 5mm.
Finish powersand to 600 DO 2 coats, EEE Carnuba.

i must say im pretty pleased with the result (bowl nr 10 i ever made)
i relay like the lines in the wood esp. on the last pic where they flow from one side to the other...

They look terrific.

I messed around with bowl turning when I 1st got my lathe.

The results always seem worth the effort.:U

Rasmus that's a bang-up job! Agree about the grain in the last pic, but they're all nice! Elm is beautiful wood, here in the upover, but the grain in that piece is exceptional. Is it known over there as Danish Elm?

OGYT : No the especially, just grown around here. Itīs just Elm in danish..

Thank you all... this wont be the last bowl i make in Elm thats for shure...
How would you price it ?? i Have e sligt idea what to ask in denmark, but from the pictures alone what would you ask for it ??

with bowls, i have not alot of an idea with pricing but i think 25-35 bucks would be alright.:?

Beautiful grain there KB :2tsup:

Simple bowls like that sell at the markets here for $15-$25, but perhaps for such beautiful grain a bit more as Stirlo suggests. Either way, no real money in it, better for gifts.

35$ is somewhat less than what i intend to ask, but i will tell you what the selling price ends up at...
