Oh What A Feeling :D

I got to use an Ornamental Lathe today bit of Camphor its ruff but who cares when your only learning and having instructions from Pro's :2tsup: even showing me how to fix a stuff up.

Can hardly wait till mines built/completed

Not yet DJ as its slow go weather is crap and a busy fortnight still making bits & pieces also.

:no: sorry no didn't realise LOML had camera in her bag she had gone off shopping with one of the other members wives and took it with her.:roll:

Off to a great start, Ray. The index wheel looks manufactured. Did you make your own cams/rosettes?

of course the index plates manufactured one of the group members made it he also made the shaft the only thing purchased so far are the nuts.

great effort Ray.

is this kind of thing difficult with the right equipment ( by difficult i mean is it any harder than turning wood normally? )

Stirlo no once you have the equipment its easy working out what patterns is the hardest

I did what anyone could do with a sliding compound vice set up on any lathe with an index plate

its the other type of work using the rocker which becomes more involved and the full need for the Rose Engine

Take a look at any of these videos I warn that these are large files 28 meg+
