Two hoop pine vessels, a Pot, approx 450mm high, and a vase, approx 500mm high. Both finished with a lacquer.

Toni, the pot has a bit of a pyro rim.

Terrific work LF! Are the dark tonings natural or in the finish? They create a good contrast.

I'm using Mirrocat, a single pack precat lacquer. The Mirocat dosen't have too much colour to it, does add a bit of yellow though but pretty clear. It's quite easy to apply too (spray).

Lovely pieces Peter :2tsup: Good choice of finish too - looks great!
I worked some Hoop pine back when I first started turning and had a hell of a job trying to beat tearout with it. I've since learned the benefits of shear-scraping so I should tackle some more - 'one day' :B
