freight tip

There is a bit of discussion on a current buy&sell thread about high freight costs in relation to purchasing second hand tools. See:

I recently had a second hand 12" thicknesser sent from Perth to Canberra. It weighed a bit less than 40 kg when boxed up. The cheapest freight quote I could get was from Greyhound Busfreight. They were less than half the price of the courier services I tried.

Limits apply to weight and size (max 40 kg I think) but this service may be useful if you are thinking about sending smaller items.

Cheers
George
