Okay guess a few people are going to not like this idea but my latest project is to make an old oak wardrobe into a display cabinet for Mrs M.

What's everyones suggestions for making sure the glass doesn't fall out :- Thinking of maybe running a small wood frame on either side of the glass at the moment :?

I have done two of these and they turned out really well. The main problem is that there is no proper framing at the sides, you need to seperate the back and front frames and make matching frames to fit in the sides. I used an other old wardrobe to get matching timber. The glass in the front just fits in to where the ply panels were, if they are fitted in to slots need to remove the back part of the slot to make it into a rebate.
I covered the inside of the back with a sheet of ply.

This is an interesting project and well worth doing. contact me if you would like any more tips.
