Looking good there Wheelin' :2tsup:
I like working with oak , but I can only get platter thickness boards , offcuts from a mates furniture workshop , usually 40-50 mm .
Yours looks to be a good thick chunk , what are the dimensions ?

A spalted oak bowl is a pretty bowl... nice timber, good work on the beads, too. :)

:D Sanding Danish Oil more sanding etc etc will let it rest a bit and then some more
to think that pile I got this from is going to be used as winter firewood:C
reckon I should buy a trailer load of scrap wood and do a swap

Hmm one thing...I'd smooth the outside into a nice sweeping curve, the lumps don't look too good...
Good effort though
What type of oak?
