Can anyone tell me if there are any turning clubs in the northern suburbs. I'm in Wahroonga, but anywhere on the north side is O.K. Done a bit of turning but had to sell my lathe and no room for a new one at home. Like to get back into it and a club seems a good idea.

Good to see you getting back into wood stuff.

Try the Sydney Woodturners Guild (http://www.sydneywoodturners.com.au/) - they have regional clubs

Hi Dan

There is a group based in Pennant Hills/Westleigh They used to be the Triton Woodworkers group, but have since renamed themselves to something along the lines of The Gentlemen's Club.
I have only recently met some of the group, but do not have any details as yet.
They have at least 10 various machines set up permanantly and are a great group of guys. I think you pay about $100 to join each year and the centre is open on a number of days through the week.

Hope this helps.

Hi Dan,

Hornsby Woodturners meet at Annangrove 2nd Sat of the month.

Most of us are from this general area. Some also involved with the Thornleigh group.

Either off the SWG website, or PM me for details. In the meantime, feel free to come over to PH if you are having withdrawal symptoms!
