Confusion

I was checking out the Jet extended mini lathe (JET*JML-1014 EXT) on the Gregory Machinery site and came across the info in the specs that the maximum working distance between centres was 1000 mm.

However the specs go on to say that the overall dimensions are
625x184x1000.

Am I missing something or is it an error in the specs?

Craig,it does appear to be an error in the specs.
The machine itself without an extention measures:
185mm W x 355 Hx 625 L.
Between centers is 355mm.
Swing is 254mm.

With the extention:
Between centers is about 1000mm.
So adding the headstock and handwheel plus overhang of the tailstock would total about 1320mm.
