How long does it take until it strong enough to lathe? It is killing me waiting but I am wondering how long because in the same token I did not want put it on the lathe and blow it to bit so how long.

I leave my glue ups about 24 hrs when I use a pva glue before turning

this is what Titebond say here

"What is the clamping and drying time of Titebond Wood Glues?
For most of our wood glues, we recommend clamping an unstressed joint for thirty minutes to an hour. Stressed joints need to be clamped for 24 hours. We recommend not stressing the new joint for at least 24 hours. For Titebond Polyurethane Glue, we recommend clamping for at least forty-five minutes. The glue is completely cured within 6 hours. "

So , either 6 hours , or 24 .......... not really much help eh .... :no:

Depends on a few things Toni - the type of timber, the temperature etc. As a general rule leave it overnight before submitting the piece to the stresses of lathe turning. Tomorrow, tomorrow.....
