I will be for about two days in Sydney for a business trip. I arrive 6am on Sunday 3/07 and leave 3pm on Tuesday 3/09. On Monday and Tuesday I'm in meeting basically from 9am to 5pm. I would really love to buy some turning wood while in Australia - any recommendations? All the places I found on the internet seem to be closed on Sunday and closing around 5pm on Monday.

If you could send me your response to my email address ([email protected]) that would be super, as I'm leaving to Tokyo in 1 hour...

thanks,
--bjorn in Redmond, WA, USA.

Hi Bjorn,
if you're in the city ie downtown Sydney then go to Woodworks in the Gowings shop on the corner of George and Market. They usually have turning blanks of Aussie timbers for sale.
Best regards
Phil:)
