Looking for help from MC900 owners! :help2:
I wanting to know the height of the lathe stand from the floor to the top of the stand and from the floor to the top of lathe bed.
I'm looking to build a bench for a Hafco WL-18 for a yet to be purchased lathe for a relly.
Any assistance would be appreciated.

Exactly Bob!
If I can get these measurements I will know the standard height for this type of lathe. In retrospect the centre height would also be handy!

My MC900 stand is 800mm high, from the bottom of the lathe (or top of the stand) it is 250 mm to the centre of the head spindle, so from floor to centre of head spindle is 1050mm.

This height suits me, but if you are taller than say 5'7" or so I would a bit o those measurements.

Thanks Big Shed :2tsup: As those measurements are suitable for a 5'7" Bendigonian turner, they will do me fine. So it's off to Bunnies for some material.
Sometimes you take on these jobs without much thought:doh:, but then again its family!

Don't for get to allow for a floor mat mines 25mm or so thick ( and yes after 3 hours on the lathe ) it makes a big difference . ON my back .
