Hi all budding arborists

I have this tree at home that is dropping branches (some quite big) and my son how is only 15mths plays under the tree so I think it is time the tree went.
Dose anyone have any idea as to what tree it might be and is any good for turning?
My timber stores are pretty full and with our wet season about to hit I do need any extra timber if it is no good.

It looks like a Gmelina going by the leaves and bark. Ian Mc will confirm it if it is.

It might be a Catalpa.
