I've just found a 3/4 full jar of Shellawax cream in my shed that's gone hard.
Is it possible to reclaim/soften it so it can be used?

Thanks.

A little bit of turps or mix some Glow in with it.

Depends on what you call hard

If you can still stir it then ok do as roobo says

If it is hard throw it out and start again.

In another thread, Neil says to just stir it, it will soften up again.

Hi Pugwash

I use the hardstuff like waxstick if she's a rock otherwise just stir it a bit and it should loosen

It is terrible to throw things away, if I have to throw away hard shellawax...why so please?

Being a wax.....add some heat. May be best to use something like what Mum made custard in....sauspan holding water on the stove with another sauspan holding the wax. Worth a try

Yes double boiler. I use an enamel pot in a small saucepan. Put in the tin of wax and when it melts add a small amount of turps. I use gum turpentine which has a nice eucalyptus smell.
