I would like to start painting in photoshop. What do i need? I would like to start painting in Photoshop but i am not familiar with the hardware requirements, more precisely, i find it hard to draw with a mouse. What is the hardware component that i need to replace the mouse in order to have better control on the cursor? Something with a pen and a board...

What you need is a graphics tablet. Mine is a Wacom Graphire.
The pen has two buttons which work like a mouse and the tip is pressure sensitive. Great for drawing, It even has an eraser on the end like a pencil does.
I got mine from harvey normans. Comes with software and works with photoshop etc. About $60 from memory.
