Over the last week I managed some lathe time and SWMBO was most impressed:U.

Photos 1-4 is made from Teak 280mm wide and 30mm thick (approx)
Photos 5-8 is made from Black Wattle same width but twice a thick
The cheese knife is also made from Black Wattle
Photo 9 is the two cheese knifes I made to go with the platers one is the same as in photo 8 and the other is made from Albizia
Photos 10-12 is made from New Guinea Rosewood again about the same width but about 150mm high I have not finished the foot yet I will give it a light sand and finish with shellawax.

All items were finished EEE and then Shellawax and the knots and holes were filled with CA:)

It was the first time I have turned Teak and Rosewood and I liked them both it was a pleasant change from turning hard timber like the Black Wattle:D.

All comments welcome:)

Rumy nice work I like NGR to work with as long as there isn't to much silica in it

They all look great the cheese knives like the burn effect :2tsup::2tsup:
