Who would be interested in coming to do, teach, or learn a bit of green woodworking in Kenmore? The chippers have been to clean up the Melaleuca bracteata tree that fell in our pony club after the big storms but left the main trunk and a big long branch behind:? so there is plenty to play with. Would just need an experienced hand on a chainsaw to cut it up. If its no good for splitting it might be alright for turning. Just reply so I can get an idea how many are interested. Oh and include whether you have experience and would like to show some of your tricks.:D

Cheers
Michael

I'd be interested in attending but I'm still a newbie in all facets of Woodworking. If required, I can bring my Stihl 441 with 20" bar, that should do the job. AndyMac and I were discussing having a camping weekend away near Toowoomba doing GW stuff much along the same ideas as you. He may have access to a hut owned by the uni.

I will put my hand up to swell the numbers. Sorry, I cannot offer any experience except being a fetch and carry guy.

My professional experience is more suited to the Pony Club members being an Animal Nutritionist specializing in the Equine Industry.

STAR, swmbo will probably corner you to compare notes, you mightn't get a chance to do any woodwork:wink::D

That's a pity Neil, you must be a busy bugger.

If it all comes together, just between you and me, don't mention the word 'copra' or you'll be escorted off the property:wink::D

Nah, just not many weekends left this month, and I've got my own BBQ on Aus Day. Next month I am off camping down south meeting hopefully heaps of other forumites.

Sounds like a groovy time. Got a chainsaw with experience. Only green woodworking I have done is to cut fence posts. Damien.

Thanks Goodwoody. Haven't given a thought to a date but it is looking like not before March.

Anybody else who is interested just post your name here and about your experience green ww. Whether you want to learn, teach, do.
I will get back with some dates down the track.

Cheers
Michael
