View Full Version : two spalted beech hollow forms

hello all- here is todays efforts
there not a pair (as i dont do pairs :twisted: ) but they are similar.
there both 6 1/2" diameter by 4 3/4" tall hollowed through a 7/8" hole to a wall thickness of 3/16"

I like the fullness of the form, and Spalted Beech is great looking wood.

Beautiful work and wood, Corn. You must have spent 95% of the time extracting chips from that tiny opening.

Great timber. Spekky technique.

Not a fan of the form though.

Looks like a pumkin about to explode.

i use lemon oil until there dry then organoil hard burnishing or chestnuts finishing oil.
