I am having a 2nd attempt to clean up my workshop.
So have on offer in the 'buy sell and swap'
Jarrah burls and bowl blanks in various Aussie species available for local pick up only.
$ Very negotiable as I need this gone.
Got a few books on turning also I forgot to include.
This time last year before I became aware of this site I sold off 2 lathes,2 large bandsaws and 2 double ended disc sanders, all on ebay for peanuts.
Since then have removed a wall and sold some timber mostly exotics.
The big lathe was a 14 ft long Sagar bed with travelling saddle powered by a Hamada metal lathe headstock with 9 speeds 30 to 1500 good for 8ft diameter.The lathe in the shop now is an old Carba-wreck pen job but has nice 3 and 4 jaw chucks.
Books are: Woodturning 'the purpose of the object'. Stephen Hogbin. $30.
The Practise of Woodturning. Mike Darlow. $25.
The Art of the Lathe. Patrick Spielman.$20
Fine Art of Small scale woodturning. Willian R Duce ? $20.
A gallery of turned objects. Albert LeCoff. $10. B&W pics only.
I dont really want to post these books so lets see what responce I get this week re pick up. If I can dig em out probably some tools and turning mags to go also.
