Years ago I used a glue that was melted in a pot over a gas ring. Have forgotten name, but would like to get some if still in supply.

It's called Hide Glue (Pearl Glue, Pearl hide Glue, Joiners Hide Glue, etc.) If you have the Site Index displayed on the left of your screen click on U-Beaut Products (http://www.ubeaut.com.au/ubhome.htm) then on the link to Pearl Hide Glue.

If you don't have the Site Index displayed on the left of your screen click on the highlighted link to U-Beaut Products above and do the same.

Hide glue, remember the smell well when I was at high school. The delicate aroma would permeate the classroom and was not a favourite of modern day glue sniffers.
It is still available and someone will come in and tell you were from as I do not have a clue.

Humph!! A prime example of the massive benefits I derive from having a Bulletin Board on my website.

I wonder how many other BB users are clueless, like Iain.

Do yourselves a favour, take the time and actually do me the courtesy of at least once having a good look around the website that hosts your Bulletin Board.

If you don't know how to get there Click Here (http://www.ubeaut.com.au/) or on the link at the bottom of every page on this BB.

Be nice Neil, I am a one finger typist like you, must be for a 90 minute response http://ubb.ubeaut.com.au/ubb/tongue.gif
Its taking me a while, remember when I was using organoil for a high gloss finish and it took me about three hours and found I could achieve the same thing with shellawax in about two minutes. I'm getting there.
