Hi SawDustSniffer,

Nice buy...!
I got myself one of those, this one (http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Digital-Laser-Photo-Tachometer-Non-and-Contact-RPM-Tach_W0QQitemZ310125701716QQihZ021QQcategoryZ1504QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1742.m153.l1262), a couple of months ago, with a few more advanced options. I got many other instruments from this Seller before and he his OK. The reason why I got mine is for me to be able to read the rpm's on anything that turns, including lathe, adjusting chain saws speed, and anything that is require to turn at a specific number of rpm's, air-con, alternators, fans etc, etc, etc.!
It has paid already for itself, in this short period of time, an instrument that I should have purchased a long time ago, if I wasn't a little skeptical about such type of instruments.

Have fun with it!:D

Cheers:2tsup:

I gather that Ebay are looking into this sort of behaviour and have set up a new policy on shipping rates. If you feel that they are over the top drop them a line, you've got nothing to lose.
