So far what you see only cost about £8.00GBP don't know exchange rate Paint will probably cost more than that:rolleyes:

If you insert pictures that way it only shows up on the same URL as you used (in this case www.woodworkforums.com (http://www.woodworkforums.com)) but not the other two that users can use. That's why it is better to attach thumbnails pictures as in that tutorial. Also it takes up less bandwidth, making for easier download.

BTW Lovely looking bike. I have a son who would love it!

what a ripper.

I'd be interested in knowing how you did different parts. How about the wheels - how were these made?

thanks

Great job looks fantastic,a friend of mine was a carpenter had his own business he built 10 harley davison rockers like your and these things were mind blowing the detail he had in these things all out of different timbers. He build these for fraser motorbikes who sold the with there harleys and this was about14 years ago i like to see what they would be worth today.

Mike

the wheels are made of three pieces of wood center 1 is 18mm thick and cut to 230mm dia cut out design in centre 18mm piece first the other two pieces are 9mm thick and also cut to the same dia as 1st piece except these have the centres cut out to form a ring glue these one to each side of the 18mm piece. When this is complete round over edges to form tyres and spokes

I know that I am slow but I can not work out your explanation for making the wheel. At first I was trying to work out what a ring glue was but realised Glue started a new sentence. It looks so good I would love to understand how it was made. I can't work out the 2 x 9mm pieces and how they fit into it.

thanks

got it this time. Thanks for that. Excellent wheels. I think I would have to start on something like that before pregnancy to have it finished in time to be of any use!!!

For those of you that may be interested I found the plans in a thread by Keju in this site it is http://www.wood-line.de/G/G020501.htm (http://www.wood-line.de/G/G020501.htm). I made some slight changes to suit myself the main being that on the original the bike came off the rocker and is steerable I made mine fixed, changed the wheels. Well look at the original and you can see. Once I have finished the painting will post new pictures

Thanks to all for the comments:2tsup:
