an afternoon at the bandsaw

so is pent a few hours at the bandsaw this arvo and cut up some blockas that have acumulated in my workshop over the last few weeks.

the blocks were.

liquid amber (thanks mic-d for identafying that mystery bowl)
avacado
blackwood
camphor.
and the pen blanks were all teh offcuts from last tiem as well as this time so many diferent species.

You should make a circle cutting jig so roughing out is a bit easier.

mainly for me but i will sell the pen blanks as i have gone off pen turning.

also i will have to part with some of my keepers to store some of these.
i like to keep a good selection of species in my personal collection but dont have too mutch room to store tehm in the workshop.

its hard enough to get around as it is.

oh i got plenty of fire wood if ya want it. there was a wheel barow load out of this lot.

Actually we will be in Brookfield in a weeks time. Zoe said yes to giving a talk there at 8.30pm! She didn't know where Brookfield was, and thought it was in the morning when she said yes!
