hello folks here are some wet turned but now dry burr oak hollow forms i have made recently. the oak came from a very wet woodland which apparently makes it grow very slowly, the log I bought had been cut down for 4 years and part brown oak.

There are good, I like the effect you get when wet wood dries and the grain shrinks or moves. I've been working on Green Holly as thin walled vessels for the same effect, well done.

Love your 'voice' in those pieces, Cornucopia. Nice to see someone turning to a different tune!

A very nice "organic" feel to these pieces.
Makes me just want to reach out and handle them.

What's to say? "Organic?" "Full of character?" "Definitely different?"

Yep, yep and yep. All I can really do is echo others and add another Wow!
