Camera is a Nikon D40X lens was the Nikkor 18-55

That's a Blue Tongue Lizard isn't it?

its a "common" blue tongue
just a note there are 4 types of blue tongue's and 2 more that are imidiately related but look a little different though.

Shingleback closely related to the blue tongue as i understand it.
