I'm no expert but I think you could spend your $7,000 a lot better unless it can make you a rum and coke at the same time as turning a piece of wood:U

Nope, but looks like sturdy, German engineering.

I am with Tony on this one. Looks like a very good lathe but at the price it would want to be wonderfull. How much is a stubby by the way?
