Mine's the same. Not quite as long, and a bit wider - two tools deep and a bit of spare space to rest paper, etc. on.
Instead of using the ol' nut 'n bolt method of fixing to the bed, I simply glued a wooden "tongue" on the end, which slips under the furthest way; it's own weight holds it in position & very quick to move/remove. :2tsup:

Skew - photo of the tongue please?
My first thought was "wow, great!" then I thought "but I need that bit of space to move the tailstock to when I'm drilling holes" (to get it out of the way when removing the blanks)
Would it be possible, do you think, to make the bolt bit narrower so it didn't take up as much room?
Maybe I could bolt it to my stand.
