Hey guys. My 2yr old nephew was the lucky recipient recently of a wooden train set.107639

I thought it was very cool, and pretty simple to make (assuming you have the right router bits for the track of course )

I took a lot of close up photos in case I wanted to borrow some ideas from it in the future. Not suggesting anyone should copy it exactly as we wouldn't want to breach any copyright of course

If anyone wants a copy of the photos PM me.

I think that is the Ikea version. We got 4 sets of it at christmas time, about $90 all up for the 4 sets, which was about the price of the router bit set.

Much easier doing it that way. Matches up to the Thomas the Tank Engine sets quite well.:D

quite probably. it didn't come from me, so i've no idea of the actual origins. I figured it'd be cheaper to buy than to make but then again, sometimes it's not the price, it's all about that personal touch making stuff yourself for your kids/grandkids etc. So I took piccies just in case.

Anyway, for those that want them, they're available.
