Well I just purchased my new lathe (Leda WL_1100V) and surprise surprise didnt manage to get out of the shop without a selection of additional tools I just had to have, The with the growing number of tools and other items it is obvious I need a proper cabinet to store everything. Does anyone have plans for a tool cabinet or photos they are willing to share.

G'Day,
If you want to buy some plans (or design your own from the pictures), try these:

Or

TTIT always seems to come up with some pretty decent ideas:

Or

My wife bought me a tool holder which is magnets housed in a plastic strap (hard to describe). I just screwed it to my peg-board, but they pretty much end up all over the place as I tend not to put things away.:C

Cheers, Steve

I built a backboard that catches a fair amount of the chips etc and it doubles as a tool holder. The rest are hung on my moveable bench, sorry no pic.

There was a thread not so long ago on how people store their tools. Worth a look.

I have seen storage of the tools on the wall behind the lathe on many occasions but still feel uneasy reaching over the lathe to get a tool, especially if you get lazy and don't turn off the lathe.

I would prefer to build a mobile A frame that I can move around.
