Hi all, just bought a copy of the latest 'Woodturning' magazine in which they have an amazing gallery of turnings, with contact info of the people who turned them. One that stood out (to me anyway) was a Scottish bloke named Stuart Mortimer. His website has some amazing turnings in the gallery section - gives me something to aspire to. Have a look & see for your self.

Hope you enjoy

Stuat Mortimer is awsome to turn something like his is just a pipe dream but there is nothing wrong with dreaming. The spiral hollow form or box is awsome.

Stuart wrote the book on spiral turning. Really, he wrote the book: http://www.allbookstores.com/book/9780941936347/Techniques_of_Spiral_Work_A_Practical_Guide_to_the_Craft_of_Making_Twists_by_Hand.html

Once you understand the basic principles, all you need is persistence.

Cheers,
Joe
