Default Advice requested - 12 year olds entry into carving

    Hey all,
My 12 year old has discovered whittling.
He’s been well trained on using sharps and I trust him, he has his own axe and pocket knife.
His 13th birthday is soon and I’m thinking of an entry set into carving.
Looks for advice, but something like this is what I’m thinking.
    Any assistance appreciated

Finally had the young man’s birthday.
Got him a range of tools to cut with.
He’s spending a lot of time cutting timber, or going out to claim timber to build up a hoard.

    Glad.
    Cheers,
    Clinton
