    Hello everyone

I am new to the woodworking fourm and i am new to carving. Been carving just over a year and now i am addicted to all types of wood lol ...i normally draw what i want to carve but sometimes its nice to just look at a piece of wood and start carving ...like this one thought i would just practice a face and kept going.2016666 294.jpg2016666 295.jpg

    nice one
I also tend to draw before I start anything , I find if things arnt planned its more likely to end up as designer firewood Drawing items 1st helps in overcoming mistakes . and helps to avoid problems at a later stage.
It doesn't work for all but that's what so interesting to see others ideas
