    Default Celtic Cross

I have not been on here for ages, have a bit of a facebook addiction I think. Here are two crosses I carved for my dad. I used a photo of a stone cross from the Isle of Wight where my ancestors came from. It is made from silky oak which came from the window surrounds from the old wool stores in Brisbane. I am currently working on a ball and claw foot stool from Fine Woodworking No 135 which I have been ogling for many years. It is a challenge. crosses-finished.jpg

Very nice. How long did it take to do the crosses?

I think it was about 30 hours each, spread over many weeks.

Nice work, I especially like the punched background , they wouldn't be half as effective without it.
