    Default Curly Blackwood spoon

I dont generally carve blackwood but thought some of my curly offcuts might look good as spoons. Heres a spoon/ladle I carved yesterday.

Beautiful wood! I like the design of the spoon as well.

Very nice work. Blackwood really takes to Tung oil.
    Was the wood green?

Thanks. Yep, green. Bit easier to work. Dried it out in the microwave after carving. Wrapped it loosely in some paper towel and nuked it in 10 second bursts.
