I thought that he wanted to know what tools everyone uses on a daily basis. but maybe i was wrong. i do not own any wood carving tools at this time so all i use is a pocket knife at this time. i hope this goes on and explains how to use all the other type of tools before i buy any.

Have been using a regular pocket knife about two months now.It is a boy scout knife with amillus new york stamped on the blade and a second knife with rough rider ireland stamped on the blade. I plan on getting some carving knifes and gouges some time in the near future. I just carved some axews on a stump and a couple of cowboy boots. not much at this time but i got slowed down when i put my finger where it was not sopposed to be an got it hurt. NO it WAS NOT the knife that hurt it. In about 5 days i should be back to to using the knife and such.
