Had a go
The mother in law had a bird that broke that she wanted me to fix and I liked it so much I had a go at making something similar. Definately peaked my interest in carving something other than spoons lol so looking forward to getting amongst it.

They look a little bit odd and on the other hand strangely enchanting.
I had to look up the Dark Crystal to recall the birds as mention by Robson.
